Terms of Service

Using Ellis County Busted Mugshots means that you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not access or use the site.

This is a privately owned reference with no government, sheriff, jail, court, or corrections affiliation. Neither the site nor its advertising partners offers FCRA-covered services. It is not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency, and its material cannot be used for credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or other regulated decisions.

Nature of the Site

This private resource points visitors toward Ellis County and Kansas jail, court, police, corrections, and public-record sources. It stores no official record and cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or file a document.

Outside research tools may also appear. Those providers operate independently and are subject to their own terms.

  • Do not attempt unauthorized access to any account, server, or system.
  • Do not operate bots, scrapers, or automated extraction tools.

No Consumer Reports

Ellis County Busted Mugshots is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not provide background checks, credit reports, consumer reports, or screening services. Advertising and search partners do not offer such services through this site. You agree not to use information found here for:

Outside Links and Services

Links may lead to jail lists, courts, sheriff or corrections pages, government portals, legal resources, news outlets, and independent search tools. A link does not mean endorsement. We do not control an outside service's content, availability, accuracy, security, or data practices. Review its terms before use.

Service Provided As Is

The site and its contents are supplied “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made that:

  • Information is accurate, complete, or current
  • Access will always be uninterrupted
  • The site has no errors, defects, or security weakness
  • A partner search will be complete or useful

Custody and public records can change quickly. Nothing here is an official statement from Ellis County, a sheriff, jail, court, or another government body.

Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the site, its owners, and its contributors are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or other damages arising from access, inability to access, reliance on content, or use of an outside service.

Your Duty to Indemnify

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the site and its owners harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable legal fees caused by your use of the site or your breach of these terms.

Ownership of Site Material

Original text, graphics, logos, design elements, and code belong to Ellis County Busted Mugshots or its content partners. You may not copy, distribute, republish, or modify protected material without written permission.

Future Changes

These terms may be revised at any time. Updated terms become effective when posted on this page, and continued use means acceptance of the revision.

Access May Be Revoked

Access may be restricted, suspended, or terminated at any time, for any reason, without advance notice.

Kansas Governing Law

These terms are governed by Kansas law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute must be filed in a court with proper jurisdiction in Kansas. References to government records include the Kansas Open Records Act, K.S.A. 45-215 through 45-223, but this private site is not a public agency under that law.

Severability of Terms

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected provision will be narrowed only as much as needed to make it enforceable.
